Terms of use and sale

1. Purpose
Confidence lets you send encrypted files that erase themselves after a single opening. The service is provided by Kylian Bellegarde (sole proprietor), under the name Belentia (see the legal notice).
2. Account
Sign-up is free and reserved for adults. You are responsible for your password. Some sends are offered at sign-up; their number may change for new accounts.
3. Permitted use
You agree not to send illegal content: harm to minors, harassment, counterfeiting, malware, content infringing the rights of others. As we cannot read the files, we act on reports and may suspend an abusive account.
4. How it works and its limits
A send is erased as soon as it has been fully opened for the first time, after the time you choose (48 hours at most, 7 days with a paid offer), or after 8 wrong password tries. The message cannot be recovered once erased. No backup is made. The recipient can keep a copy of what they see; we cannot prevent it. Maximum sizes depend on the offer.
5. Prices and payment
Prices are shown in euros, VAT not applicable (art. 293 B of the French tax code). Packs give a number of sends with no expiry date. The monthly subscription renews its sends every month, can be cancelled at any time from the Billing page, and runs until the end of the paid period. Payment is handled by Stripe.
6. Right of withdrawal
The service is digital content supplied immediately. By buying, you ask for immediate performance and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal as soon as the first send is used (article L.221-28 of the French Consumer Code). As long as no send from the pack has been used, you can ask for a refund within 14 days at contact@belentia.fr.
7. Liability
We use reasonable means for the availability and security of the service, without any guarantee that it will never be interrupted. An unopened send can be lost in the event of a technical incident; do not entrust Confidence with the only copy of an important document. Our liability is limited to the sums paid over the last 12 months, except in the case of gross negligence or fraud.
8. Data
See the Privacy page.
